About UAFC
Urban Academy Football Club (UAFC) is the first-ever school-owned and school-run football club in South Africa. UAFC is more than just a football club; it is an education-integrated sporting model, seamlessly combining academic excellence with world-class football development. The club is exclusively built on the foundation of Urban Academy Private School’s vision: nurturing scholars, athletes, and leaders for the future. It's an educational model that conserves both sports and academic pathways for players.

Club Structure

Junior Club
Welcome to our U/7 to U/13 club, where we are dedicated to nurturing future stars in both boys and girls. Our focus is on developing skills, teamwork, and a love for the game in a fun and supportive environment. Our focus is also on nurturing talent and building a strong foundation for future success in our semi-professional and professional club structure that we are striving towards. As part of the Urban Academy Private School touring teams, our players have the unique opportunity to represent both the school and the club during league matches. We closely monitor academics to ensure that players excel in their studies and maintain positive behaviour at school. With dedicated mentorship in both academics and sports, we strive to ensure that both pathways are well-oiled for our young athletes. Join us in shaping the future of football!

Senior & High Performance Teams
Welcome to our High Performance Teams (u/17+) provide an opportunity for current students and alumni, while also being accessible to public players who have completed school. Joining UAPS as a student guarantees you visibility and the chance to participate in try-outs. Players still enrolled in UAPS most likely also form part of UAPS touring teams. This section of our club aims for professional status while offering academic mentorship and support, especially for Matrics, to ensure high pass rates and a smooth transition into the club for the following year.
